Vanity of distinction

Cherokee County in north-central Georgia, isn't the first place you'd start looking for a world-class furniture manufacturer, but that's exactly where you'll find one. The Furniture Guild, located in Canton, Georgia, employs a team of talented woodworkers, artists and finishing experts to produce beautiful, high-end, hand-crafted cabinetry, including the bath vanity shown above. From the company's Vanity Flair Collection, the vanity features a stone top, glass sink and bow-front cabinet built of bamboo. It has two doors and a drop-down center panel that gives access to the plumbing. The Bamboo Vanity is available in more than 40 finishes and it can also be wall-mounted. Prices start at around $4,995.

Wall-mount modular storage: Let it all hang out

You can never have enough storage space. It's true. And even though my new apartment has more closets and cupboards than my previous pad, I could use some extra stuff-stashing spots. Well, more like a place to proudly display my growing collection of retro-look kitchen appliances and gadgets—they're my new thing. While these throwback items could be stowed behind closed cabinet doors, they're just too cute and colorful (mint green blender, race car red toaster, yellow timer...) to be put away. So, thanks to designer Nils Holger Moormann's Erika storage system, my cool cooking classics (and other kitchen goods) can have a groovy and visible station of their own. As a bonus, my countertops stay clutter free!
