The Italian-made Novellini Cristal bathtub is unlike any tub I've ever seen. Its clean, contemporary design is positively geometric, with lines and angles converging to create a beautiful, comfortable fixture. Oh, and by the way, it's made of clear glass!

Sure-fit toilet kit

During a recent bath renovation, I ripped out the old vinyl sheet flooring and installed tumbled-marble floor tile. The job went smoothly and the new floor looks great, but it did create a slight problem when it came time to install the toilet. You see, the toilet's floor drain, known as the closet flange, was originally installed flush with the old vinyl floor. But after adding cement backerboard and the 1/2-inch-thick marble, the flange was too low to form a watertight seal against the toilet. Even if I placed an extra-thick wax gasket on the toilet, I wasn't able to form a proper seal. Then I discovered a simple, inexpensive solution.
